Dye Injected into the Roses?

Hi Mr Greenthumb!
I have a question about dying roses. I’ve seen “rainbow roses” at pike place market and they said dye is injected into the rose. Do you know how
they do that?

Dear Rachael:
These must be “cut” flowers, yes? The growers are letting the dye come up through the vascular system of the plant. The cut end is either sitting in the dye or it is being injected into the stem with a needle. Hope this is helpful.
My best,
Stan DeFreitas, Mr. GT
